Colmegna beach

The beach itself is a small grassy area with shadess provided by a few trees. The lake is incredibly clean and refreshing, perfect for a swim. There are several eating options to choose from, serving everything from traditional Italian cuisine to fresh seafood.

Luino was home to a major battle in the first Italian indipendence war, in the 15 agosto 1848. This battle, by the way, was the first time Giuseppe Garibaldi took the field.
